Meme coins are extremely risky. Most lose almost all of their value. Only use money you can afford to lose completely.
Price and liquidity
- Prices can drop to near zero within minutes, and there may be no one to sell to.
- Early buyers and the creator may sell at any time, which pushes the price down.
- A coin that hasn't graduated may never reach its target.
Scams
- Anyone can launch a coin. A name, image or link proves nothing about who is behind it.
- Liquidity is locked after graduation, but creators can still hold and sell coins, promote misleading stories or abandon the project.
- Coins can copy famous names or brands without permission. Check before you buy.
Taxed coins
- Some coins take a tax of up to 5% on every transfer, including sells and wallet-to-wallet sends. It is paid in the coin to its creator and can't be changed.
- Some wallets, apps and traders don't support or avoid taxed coins.
Technology
- Blockchain transactions are final. Mistakes, like sending to the wrong address, can't be undone.
- The site relies on Solana, Meteora, Jupiter and other services that can fail, change or be attacked.
- An imported wallet's key lives in your browser. Use a separate wallet with small amounts for meme trading, and never import your main savings wallet.
Legal and tax
- Rules for crypto assets differ by country and can change. You are responsible for following yours.
- Buying, selling and swapping may create tax obligations.
